Executive coaching is especially for those who already know many of the answers.
Your success depends upon getting the best out of the best people. You select carefully and motivate your staff. You know that effective managers manage the process and lead the people. You know that the most successful leaders are self-aware and build constantly on their emotionally intelligence. You also know that maximising your performance requires your constant attention.
Professional executive coaching is about maximising the return on your attention.
There is occasionally some confusion between mentoring and coaching.
Mentoring is when the client asks the questions and the Mentor knows the answers. A mentor may occasionally use a coaching style.
Coaching is when the coach asks the questions and the client works out the answers.
A coach does not require expertise in the client's business or profession. In fact it is generally easier to coach when the coach knows less about the client's skills and expertise. However, a mentor does require that expertise. The expertise of a coach is in the structure and thinking of your learning and behaviour.
Co-Active Coaching works through the design of the coaching relationship and coaches who the client is being. When the client is being their most magnificent self, any challenge can be overcome.
Relationship Systems Coaching coaches the relationship rather than the clients. It works through intentional design of relationships and through revealing the system to itself.
