Course Objectives
- Describe and apply appropriately the basic principles of non-directive coaching.
- Decide on an appropriate personal state for coaching and have a strategy which reliably achieves it.
- Assess accurately the level of rapport and be able to use simple strategies to manage or increase rapport.
- Define clear, consistent, situational thresholds for deciding the appropriate management style.
- Set a framework for a coaching relationship which is suitable for building confidence and trust.
- Identify and agree target behaviours for improving performance against team and business outcomes or best practice.
- Observe targeted behaviours and provide evidence based non-directive and non-judgemental feedback.
- Select useful and appropriate questions from a model based on GROW and well-formed outcomes to deliver powerful and effective coaching.
- Develop a strategy for organising delivery of coaching using the key process elements
